This program is more than just a Sunday School. It has been founded in conjuction with families of children with special needs. This team approach has given us a deep understanding of what our unique and precious children require, and what we need to do to satisfy these needs.

Our Philosophy:

We believe each child should learn and work at his or her unique level, ability, and pace. While some children are learning Aleph Bet, others are actually learning Hebrew. EACH child receives individual attention thanks to our volunteers that work with our Special Education teachers. The volunteers are sensitive, devoted and experienced with children with special needs. It is important to us to maintain a high ratio of teachers to children, thus our class size is limited.

Our Program:

The class typically begins with a session with the singing of daily prayers, followed by learning stories from the Torah, or insights into the Holidays or Shabbat. Teaching is mainly through songs, stories, skits, and art projects. This enables us to maintain a program that is fun, interesting and sensory based.
